Everything you need to know before booking a marquee or tent in Dubai, from cost and permits to air conditioning, sizes and cultural weddings.
Ask Us AnythingCost and Pricing
Marquee and tent hire in Dubai usually ranges from around AED 3,500 for smaller events to AED 30,000 or more for large weddings and corporate setups, depending on size, structure and features like air conditioning. Most quotes include the structure, flooring, lighting and furniture.
It often is, especially when hosted at a private villa or family garden, which removes venue hire and minimum spends and gives you full control over caterers and suppliers.
Yes. Every quote states the 5 percent UAE VAT clearly, so the figure you approve is the figure you pay, with no surprises on the invoice.
Booking and Timing
Book 6 to 9 months ahead for the cooler October to March wedding season, when weekend dates fill quickly. Around major holidays such as Eid, National Day and New Year, book earlier. Summer events usually need 3 to 4 months.
A standard marquee takes 1 to 3 days to install depending on size and complexity. Smaller setups go up in a day, while larger events with flooring, lighting, furniture and air conditioning need 2 to 3 days. Dismantling usually takes a day.
Weather, Permits and Safety
A temporary marquee on private land usually requires notification to or approval from Dubai Municipality, and larger or public installations may need Dubai Civil Defence sign-off for fire safety. We check requirements during your free site survey. Always confirm current rules with Dubai Municipality.
Our marquees are rated, weighted and anchored for Dubai conditions, including the shamal wind, and enclosed sidewalls keep the interior protected. We plan the anchoring to suit the ground at the site survey.
We use fire-rated fabrics and carry public liability cover for events, and plan installations around Dubai Municipality and Dubai Civil Defence requirements.
Sizes and What Is Included
For 100 seated dinner guests, plan for roughly a 9 x 18 m marquee, about 162 square metres, allowing 1.5 to 2 square metres per person. Add a dance floor or stage and you will want closer to 12 x 18 m.
A standard package includes the marquee structure, professional installation and full dismantle, plus flooring, lining, lighting and furniture. Air conditioning, generators, staging and luxury toilets are shown as clear add-on lines.
Air Conditioning
Yes. The key is sizing the cooling to the structure and sealing it with solid flooring and enclosed sidewalls. Done well, a marquee stays comfortable even at peak summer temperatures.
It depends on the structure size, the number of units and whether a generator is needed. We show the air conditioning as its own AED line so you see exactly what it adds.
Weddings and Cultural Events
Yes. We plan cultural weddings for every tradition, with qibla-aware and gender-considerate nikah layouts, a mandap or stage as needed, and styling to match your culture.
Yes. We build authentic Arabic majlis tents with Sadu seating, and iftar and Eid majlis marquees timed to the Islamic calendar, cooled for long evenings.
